As I was watching him, I was thinking that I hadn't written anything about him yet in this blog. My sweet boy has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. I am amazed at his ability to make me smile (even when I'm trying to be stern), his capacity to learn, his sweet kisses (that I don't even ask for sometimes). He can't say many words, but he thinks he is telling me very exciting stories, and I love his little expressions. I had always heard parents gush over how much they love their children. It wasn't that I didn't believe them, but I just couldn't completely understand. Well....now I do!
Even more amazing is the thought that I am like a child to my Heavenly Father. He loves me in an even more incredible way than I could ever love my boy. So, as I am breathing a sigh of relief that this day is almost over, I am also resting in the fact that I have an Abba Father who loved me yesterday, all day today, and will still love me as his very own as I start a new day tomorrow!

Very, very true! I love reading your blogs!!
What a GREAT example of God's love for us! You're right... since we are made in His image and He has given us that joy and love for our children, He must feel the same for us! What a GREAT thought! Thanks for sharing this! ♥ Michelle
Beautiful post Rachel! I know I need that reminder sometimes... He loves me more than I can love anyone else! Even when we do wrong! :) Thank you for sharing my sweet friend!
Thanks, Michelle!! I'm so amazed at how many parallels I find between God and our parenting!!
