Dunkin Donuts and a new job.....

Just a few highlights from the last couple months......

1. Our little town just got a new DD!! It's become our new favorite place to hang out as a family!

2. Our church secretary recently retired, and I've taken her position. It's been a lot to learn, but I'm enjoying so many parts of the job! The fact that it's flexible makes it a good fit with my little munchkins!

3. I was super excited to go to my 1st Casting Crowns concert. It was such an amazing, Jesus-centered time of worship!! 

4. My handsome husband turned 33! We celebrated with New York Pizza, of course! 

5. Beautiful spring bouquet from my sweetie!

6. Headed to The Gospel Coalition with Adam. It was our first conference together and it was an amazing time of spiritual refreshment! 

7. My best friend's husband flew me down to Florida for the weekend to help celebrate her birthday. It's the most relaxing time we've had in forever!! Pedicures and Krispy Kreme donuts make for super vacation!! 

8. My new favorite snack is kale chips! Yum!!

I've had a fairly uneventful pregnancy which I'm incredibly thankful for. As I near the end, though, I've been thinking about how wonderful both of my guys have been during the last 9 months. They've blessed me by:
*Doing dishes while I put my feet up
*Giving me random hugs and kisses
*Making runs to Walmart for sudden cravings (ie. a 6 in. Subway Tuna sandwich, CHOCOLATE, apples)
*Putting up with all sorts of emotions and hormones
*Waiting with me at the doctor at each of my appointments
*Bending over to tie my shoe and pick up the myriad of things I seem to drop throughout the day!

Honestly, as I wrote this list I started to think of more and more ways that these two guys have been simply WONDERFUL, but you get the point!
The great thing is I know that their sweetness isn't going to end in 2 weeks! They'll both continue to be an amazing help in a million ways.

Thank you, boys! I love you both SO much!

Birthday Party!!

Choosing Wisely....

I sat down on the couch this morning hoping to write a few thoughtful posts. My morning meeting was cancelled because of snowy weather. The dishes were done, the laundry was folded, and I had even lit a few candles!! Ahhhh!! Time for me!! And then I looked across the room and saw.....

Suddenly, my plans changed. Those posts could wait! This was a moment that I would never get back. Instead I plan on cuddling, giggling, watching Veggie Tales, and maybe even venturing out to make a snowman later!! 

Here's my goal for today:

"We should celebrate the love, purposes, and reality of God so that our children can taste and see His goodness in our home"

Weekend Recovery Day...

This past weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to head to the Women of Faith Conference in Rochester, NY. We left at 6:30 AM Friday morning, and returned home late Saturday evening. Sunday was packed with normal church things as well as a wedding and reception for a sweet couple in our church.
Therefore...I am naming today my "Weekend Recovery Day"!! I'm excited to share some things from the conference, but it's going to have to wait until tomorrow!! Until then, I want to hear from YOU!!

Another weekend....another shower....

Last weekend, I was able to host another baby shower for one of my good friends from church, Autumn. She is expecting a boy, and believe it or not, it's the first boy in over 2 years. It was fun to replace the pink decorations with some blue ones for a change!! Here's some pictures from our time:

We kept the decorating simple, but BLUE!!!

I picked "Sugar Babies" for the prizes for our Baby Bingo game!

We usually have cake, but for something different we had brownies/peach crisp and ice cream with toppings! Super yummy!!

This summer has been SO busy for everyone, so I was glad to see a good turnout....

Catch-up.....

I just wanted to apologize for the lack of deeper content in the last week or so. Just like the rest of you, our summer has been super busy!! It's all been very fun, but has messed with my routine just a bit! =)

My husband's family have been with us for the past week or so!! It's been so much fun, and I have tons to share!! Stick with me while I play a little bit of catch-up!! Things "might" get a little more "normal" soon!
